Program Overview

Professor Rajendra Singh Science Exploratory (PRSSE) offers enriching, hands-on learning programs for students from Grades 5 to 10. Designed in alignment with the vision of NEP 2020, our initiatives emphasize experiential learning and the development of scientific thinking.

Our flagship year-long program for students in Grades 6 to 9 focuses on practical skills, curiosity-driven exploration, and laboratory-based learning. For students in Grades 5 and 10, we conduct specially curated summer camps that blend concept-building with engaging activities. Students learn under the guidance of dedicated trainers in well-equipped laboratories, with additional exposure through sessions led by visiting experts from across the country. We also offer special batches for advanced learners, designed to prepare and engage students for national and international competitive examinations in Science and Mathematics.

Alongside student programs, PRSSE conducts professional development workshops for teachers, promoting innovative and active learning practices in classrooms.

Year Long After School Program

Programme 1: Laboratory Training Program

Enrolment Eligibility: Grades 6 to 9

Total No. of Students Enrolment for this program in an academic Year: 350

Tentative No. of Sessions in an Academic Year:
35 - 40 (Each of 2 hours per week)

The Laboratory Training Program is designed to develop strong experimental skills and scientific thinking among students. It focuses on hands-on learning, enabling students to perform experiments, analyze data, and approach problems with a research-oriented mindset. The program also nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and science communication skills, preparing students to confidently tackle real-world challenges.

Students participate in weekly sessions conducted in state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. These sessions provide exposure to a wide range of disciplines from their school curriculum, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Electronics, and DIY experimental activities, ensuring a holistic scientific experience.

Admission to the program is based on merit through an entrance examination conducted in the month of April whose notification comes out in the month of February. Students studying in Grades 5, 6, and 7 are eligible to appear for the exam and, upon selection, are admitted to Grades 6, 7, and 8 batches respectively for the academic session beginning in July. Students once selected may continue in the program up to Grade 9. In addition to laboratory activities, students gain broader exposure through special workshops, expert talks by visiting scientists, competitions, and outreach programs.

Program 2: Laboratory Exposure Program

Enrolment Eligibility: Grades 6 to 8

Total No. of Students Enrolment for this program in an academic Year: 500

Tentative No. of Sessions in an Academic Year:
10 (Each of 6 hours per month)

The Laboratory Exposure Program is specially designed to extend the benefits of experiential and research-based learning to students who are unable to attend weekly laboratory sessions. This program ensures that geographical distance does not limit access to quality scientific training and hands-on experimentation.

The program focuses on developing experimental skills, scientific temperament, and analytical thinking through intensive, activity-based learning. Students engage in carefully curated experiments and problem-solving tasks that encourage observation, data analysis, and application of concepts in real-life contexts. These sessions provide exposure to a wide range of disciplines from their school curriculum, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Electronics, and DIY experimental activities, ensuring a holistic scientific experience.

Unlike the regular weekly format, this program is conducted through monthly contact sessions, where students visit the laboratory once a month for an extended session of approximately six hours.

Admission to the Laboratory Exposure Program follows a similar merit-based selection process through an entrance examination conducted in April. Students studying in Grades 5, 6, and 7 are eligible to apply and, upon selection, are enrolled in Grades 6, 7, and 8 batches respectively for the academic session commencing in July. Selected students may continue in the program up to Grade 9. The Laboratory Exposure Program serves as a bridge for enthusiastic learners from distant locations, empowering them with the skills and confidence to explore, experiment, and excel in science.

Programme 3: International Junior Science Olympiad Training Programme

Enrolment Eligibility:8th and 9th Std. Students

Our Junior Science Olympiad Training programme is designed to help students prepare for the International Junior Science Olympiad competition. Through a combination of hands-on science activities and expert coaching, students will develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. Sessions on the topics in science and mathematics will be delivered by the experts from the city and some guest sessions of renowned science educators across the country are also invited to make this programme vibrant.

No. of Seats: 25

Timeline:

Selection Process:Through Entrance Exam of Laboratory Training Programme as mentioned above

Declaration of Merit List and Admission Process: May first week
